    6kW rms and only 3 FETs ? Would this work in long terms ?

    I think we all know it's not possible to get 6000watts from 6 transistors.One transistor for each kilowatts-not possible.I allready see this theme on diyadio.com.

    The voltage is near 160V and many FETs can easely survive that. The current as i calculated it was near 13A per FET. Again in RMS. Vpp would be near 440V. Might be possible. But for how long :.
    Anyone dares trying ? :.

    Yes u r right but You must admit it's stupid if that power is possible for 20mS!?Name of this tread does not deserve name "6KW amp".However,this is very quality components used in this shematic and i guess it has plenty of power.

    Ok,probably I am the guy who will make this with few modification to double the power.Ofc i will upload the video.If u calculate carefully and read everything about IC u can easy see that this can work easy for a loooong time period.For 2Ohm load u need PSU to be +/-154V if efficiency is 100% , but they claims that max efficiency is 96%.So psu should be min +/-160V.Current per fet is 18,2A.IF Rds ON is 0,1Ohm......then power dissipation per fet is on max power 33W.I know at least 10 types of fets which can do the job.But main thing here is to know which ones r the best.From me for now this is enough.

    Dont think.ITs about do u know something or not.In sience there is no guessing....and also sience is not trading activity.U know or not.I am not evil in my talking but i want to suggest u to not to push your conclusions to be answers for all of us here.I put this schematic on purpose to push people to start thinking out of the box.

    Kiakiaka. What is funny about do the amp design against 2Ohm load ?. My speakers are very close to 8 - 6 Ohm from 22 - 19000 Hz, thus i would never ever short an amp nor try it ?
    Where do i go wrong ?
    You calculate the voltage as Vp but keep the current as rms ?
    Ip = sqrt(6000 / 2)/3 = 18.2574
    Ipeak = Ip * sqrt(2) = 25.8199 Or am I wrong here ? Can't remember actually ?

    U r right .... my bad .... its 25A per transistor.Tnx.Thing is that 6KW output or higher is not ever designed for 8Ohms.....usually that is defined for many speakers on output....one speaker cant hande that power ....point is that this design is real.

    If You want to make amp with IRS2092,here is my help:IRAUDAMP 7D.Amp class D with IRS2092 and 2x MOSFET.In bridge mode give (so with 4 MOSFETs) 500watts.This is complete project.
