No doubt it is a high power amplifier but too much exerated, smps supply and maybe class D ,did you read power consumption,AC Power input in Single Phase mode 230V (63A**) , 230 x 63 = 14490 watts, real great invention, should be given a novel prize, creating 40,000 watts from 14490 watts, All the world,s power crisis will be over,

i very much agree with you on that point . too much hype and marketing gymics.

Hmm they actually state 3*32 at volt which gives 38400, still not 40k but close to :).
Reversed 40000 / 400 = 100, 100 / 3 = 33.33, 33.33 is what at least is demanded for 40k, going for no looses or equal anywhere :).
It is real IGBT, but as far as i know from some concerts, it "only" works near 30kW.
I am not good at calculating SMPS, so i don't dare mine yet, but my attempt is 4*4kW from maks 18kW, it should be possible if a good SMPS could be created. A difference in my idea compared to this, is to maximise power of each output at 4kW (meaning changing voltage for power rails according to impedance), they have on voltage approx +/- 180V. Maybe i should go for a single voltage as well :).

hi malmir please post your 4kwt smps schema and pcb.

also i dont think it is practical to use linear i.e transformers for powering a 20kwt amplifier. even the power bank caps will be great a challenge .

Oh i am so sorry for misunderstandings. I have not yet done a smps for this box :), as i sayed, i do not know enought about coil/transformer choise/calculations to start this task. But when i get that knowledge i sure will post it :).
A second problem is :
How in the "beeep" to desig a PFC between 2 phases ? could one be "zero" and the other "hot" and then equaly clockwise around ? or ???
I have seen a lot of examples of PFC's, but only for single phase. Part of the rail control is taken from the 20kW amp here, as i know that works, and the amp it self is a modified version of the 6kW as i have seen them in job. And they can be purchased in Phillipines, Indonesia and Thailand for near 50USD per module.

I know 4kW in old fasioned way (transformer and diode bridge) is a bit nasty, but some people in Indonesia actually do 2.5, 3.5 and 4 kw trafo's. But they are huge :) and i guess they weight equal as a baby elephant :). But it could be done. But i prefere to try the smps on day.

maybe have a look at this guys

 real power extreeme power :adoration:the 40kilowatts monster!!!:

http://www.pknc.com/3phase_eng.html

I cannot say anything possitive about this one. Not because of company, nor about bad and overmelming cormercials. But how in the "BEEP" can they claim to draw 63 amps at one phase ? That is so much out of safty rules, when you look at the gnd and earth pins, they would max be able to carry 20 - 32 A. This amp has a huge safty problem.
But i low to see these high power amps running :).
