Broken Transformer Core

Hi to all;

My E42/21/20 Epcos N87 core just arrive, but all the core was delivered broken!!!! can I still use this? thus it have main effect if I will just glue it all together?

Hoping some good advise on this.

I am sorry to inform you that you cannot glue these in any way, you must order new ones.

Thanks, already placed complaint to RS components, they will replace the broken core. hmmmmm.. I can't wait to start building my first smps.

It depends on how much and what kind of breaks you have.
I've glued them many times , the results are imperceptible , not mean visual but working.
Though better a new one.

I glue it once time with liqid metal,works fine,but it was only one piece broken.I don't have osciloscope,so probably some with it can see diference.

it is not safety when core is connected by glued.
