I did try to calculate a transformer for a forward smps, but did not see this topology in your software, a half bridge
however can maybe be used.

sorry, forgot I already posted the program Forward(3000). post#23I do not have the English version of a forward SMPS. only Russian.
Hi Stewin, what is the point of having few kW's flyback? surely you wont need a choke but still peak currents and current ripple would be very high (comparing to a full brigde, for example) so you have to have a lot of caps. Go with two switch forward, it's one of the bullet proof topology out there for high power SMPS's (often used in welders).
BTW what are you planning to supply with that flyback?
Error in the input supply voltage 155-165V. A have http://scr.hu/3bmu/rt5w6
But I do not know why the secondary voltage is a little too high with the number of coils.
this will depend on the required power Converter.
if the power is less than 1000W, you can use a half bridge, and if more than 1000W, be sure to use the full bridge.
for 50 Watts it is enough to choose a flyback Converter.
or half-bridge.
forward converter at such low power not to use.
