High voltage ZVS supply.

Hi all,

Here is a ZVS circuit I just finished for a university project. It puts out an adjustable voltage from 200-3kv at 5ma. I made the hv bobbin on a lathe and the core was salvaged from an old tv flyback. This has passed all testing with out any issues and is going to be put into permanent service this weekend.

The high speed/high voltage diodes were harvested from an old HP Laserjet printer. The caps were harvested from old Storagetek surge suppressors and are .01ufd at 3kv rated. These are on a separate board, not in the picture. I have had this up to 7.5kv but the secondary arced over so it is limited to 3kv at this time.

I am working on a bigger one to replace the neon transformer in our EMP can crusher. I will keep you posted on that one.

Best regards, Steve
