Thanks a lot Vrach and it is good to know about the forum, The only mishap with the IR2161 is that you cannot adjust the frequency and also the frequency varies with load on the IR2161.

I adopted a circuit with the IR2153 chip which also has a high frequency soft start like the IR2161 and added a short circuit protection with a current transformer and scr to shut down the chip. A video on youtube can be found showing the smps with short circuit and soft start and also the load test.

Yes, this chip does not allow changing the oscillator frequency. But this chip allows you to assemble a simple power supply with protection and smooth start-up. I plan to use this for powering audio amplifiers with a capacity of 400-500 watts.(Using transistors 10nk60, and the input capacitor 470mkf 400v.)

I'm satisfied with the frequency of 34kHz at a high load and about 65kHz with a small load.
