These pictures are from the Dx Blame MKII Supercharged.... the blue boards made in Brasil and offered to a Brazilian forum and also to www.diyaudio.com..... around 150 kits where sold... and was cost price.

Kits included 2 power amplifier boards, two power supply boards and two protector boards (speaker delayed insertion, off set detection and thermal protection against over temperature in the heatsinks)

My own Supercharged had some thermal issues...the heat transference was not good because of L adaptor.... see what i did...first reduce the current, second the use of a fan:

I do think it will be a very good idea to increase R17 wattage ratio...also R22 wattage ratio.


Playing full power a pipe organ...huge bass and i felt the resistance start to smell....so.... a good idea is to increase it's watts ratio, and this was already made in Brazilian boards.... also you can put 1N4007 diode in the resistance place substituting it by the diode.... try 1 or 2 watts..the bigger one you find room to install there.

Also, as i have told you before, several times, it is a good idea to install big transistors in the Q6 position.... so, the two VAS uses bigger transistors, not the small 2N5551 or BC546 anymore...this was done in the earlier models and boards....also a good idea to use heatsinks on them (both) if your amplifier is MKII Supercharged, MKII and MKIII.

Aumente os watts das resistencias R17 e R22, ou substitua as danadas por diodos 1N4007... essas descabeladas esquentam quando a gente dá pau na máquina..ouvindo um orgão de tubos a todo volume eu notei que elas cheiram um pouco..isso quer dizer que superaquecem...lembrem de usar transistores grandes para Q6 e também para o segundo VAS e usem dissipadores para ambos os transistores.

Carlos. i've noticed that you try the Blame amplifiers , SC, MKII and MKIII a lot of times, and i see that often you inform about one or another modifications in components or way to configure the amplifiers.

i must recomend that all modifications, should be noted at all sheets in Dx blame site (nabuco)

so, the comunity of friends could more easy get the last information about Blame amplifiers.

what do you think about it?

I have felt some smell of resistance burning while playing tube organ sound at full power...but the smell came from other place, not my amplifier
