Absolutely no!
It calculate only the transformers for SMPS.
Tools for calculating inductors is'nt yet translated . I may give it to you only in russian.

Can you share this tool? I 've a russian friend here, he can help me translate that:)

Many thanks,

Mike

great tool!
Only a problem with Rds_on. It work only with saturation voltage, not with Rds_on and toroid core in push-pull design (12v)

Can you post a screenshot of the prog.window ? And describe what performance you want from your transformer?

Thanks friends!
I will summarize some design examples about flyback and forward transfomer and CMC and DCM for reference.
I submitted PFC inductor design example in other thread.

DMC: Differential Mode Chokes
CMC: Common Mode Chokes
PFC: Power Factor Correction Choke
MAIN TRANS: Main switching power transformer
MAC: Magnetic Amps Choke for regulations
CS: Current Transformer
SMOOTHING CHOKE: Output differential mode filtering choke
NORMAL CHOKE: Output Inductor
DRIVING TRANS: Drive transformer
AUX TRANS: Auxillary transformer for housekeeping supply

Hi Dimonis
Thank you for a great effort :).
Some small observations:
1. No help available.
2. Not intuitive placement. The output data is in the middle of two input data. Not a problem, just an observation :)
3. Addition of material type different from the list you have provided, does not seem to work. The core dimensions are accepted, as well as the core data like Ae and Ve, but the core material name is not being accepted in the list.
4. If the core chosen produces power less than the required output, then why is the option displayed as output? Or maybe a color change could be used to signify to the user that he is going the wrong way?
5. Is there any possibility of more topologies also? like Forward, Sepic, Cuk and so on
6. What about designing inductors also?
7. What about updates o the software?
8. What about systems where there are more than one switch in parallel?

All in all, an excellent initial effort. Needs polishing, thats all :)
Once again, Thank you very much.

hello can anyone tell me how to calculate

Ae (mm^2) CROSS SECTION AREA

An (mm^2) AREA OF CORE WINDOW

le (mm) LENGTH OF MAGNETIC PATH

ve (cm^3) CORE VOLUME

PLEASE HELP

Could you please give more information's about the design?

are you looking to calculate that for a core? or do you want to calculate turns?

example

ETD44 Epcos

Σl/A = 0.6 mm–1
le = 103 mm
Ae = 173 mm2
Amin = 172 mm2
Ve = 17800 mm3

An can be found in the datasheet of your coil former

Hi all!
Thanks for this tool, is very usefull! But, one thing, the switching frecuency is the transformer switching? or the controller switching? As far as I know, the switching controller in a half bridge runs at twice frecuency than the core.

Regards!

hello i want to make transformer for smps dc to ac inverter
i'm using sg3525 50KHz duty cycle 50%

primary voltage 24v
secondry voltage 400v
i want output power of 3000 to 4000 watt

and

primary voltage 48v
secondry voltage 400v
i want output power of 3000 to 4000 watt

core size
[E 71/33/32 N87]
Ae=683
An=284
le=149
Ve=102
mu=1780

can you calculate me primary secondry turns??

Don't think you can manage that !
You need ONE turn in primary! (Even less !!!!!) How are you gonna wind such?
Here's your calculations. I guessed that it'll be push-pull ???
